Gyratory crusher – Lower Bushing

  Product Highlights
  1. Reinforced three-dimensional rib structure: Vertical reinforcing ribs are integrally cast into the outer wall to disperse instantaneous impact loads, significantly improving impact resistance compared to smooth-surfaced standard moving cones and preventing cracking or chipping.
  2. Fully automated quenching heat treatment for high-manganese steel: delivers high hardness, excellent impact resistance, and superior wear resistance, while minimizing chipping and deformation‑induced failure, thereby significantly reducing downtime for component replacement.
  3. High-manganese steel construction combined with fully automated water-quenching heat treatment ensures wear resistance and impact toughness: Made from high‑manganese or ultra‑high‑manganese steel and subjected to fully automated water‑quenching heat treatment, it delivers both exceptional hardness and superior impact resistance. The surface is coated with an anti-corrosion primer followed by a topcoat to effectively isolate it from moisture and slurry corrosion, thereby extending service life.
  User Pain Points
The moving cone of a gyratory crusher is a critical wear‑resistant component within the crushing chamber, subjected to high‑intensity impact, compression, and frictional loads from the ore. Conventional moving cones suffer from three major drawbacks: ① when crushing hard ores or large‑size feed, transient impact loads are highly concentrated, leading to cracking and edge chipping; ② during crushing, frictional heat accumulates, causing the working surface to soften at elevated temperatures and accelerating wear; ③ poor fit between assembled parts often results in material jamming and leakage.
  Solution
Our company’s moving cone features an integral split-cone design made of high-toughness, wear-resistant cast steel, with upper and lower sections joined together for easy assembly and excellent fit. The reinforced outer wall incorporates integrally cast vertical stiffeners that increase the load-bearing cross-section and distribute impact loads; these ribs also form cooling air passages to rapidly dissipate frictional heat, reducing the risk of high-temperature softening and accelerated wear. This design is suitable for primary crushing lines in mining, aggregate production, and metallurgical raw material processing.
In actual mining operations, the original‑equipment manufacturer’s spare parts must be removed and replaced after processing 2 million tonnes of ore. By contrast, our factory’s reinforced bushings of the same model, combined with the bottom‑row inlaid liners, still have ample service life remaining after handling 4 million tonnes of crushing, with an estimated additional 1 million tonnes of throughput. Overall, their service life is 2 to 2.5 times that of the OEM components.
  I. Product Description
For different ores, we offer the following recommendations for selecting the moving cone liner:
  • For highly abrasive hard rock (such as quartzite/basalt) and feed consisting mainly of coarse chunks, where the goal is to minimize fines production, our polished moving cone liners are more suitable.
  • For construction aggregate producers (using limestone/sandstone to produce crushed stone/machine-made sand) operating under conditions where the feed material consists of smooth pebbles, gneiss, or other materials with high fines content or high moisture, we recommend moving cone liners with enhanced bite force, reduced slippage, and reinforcing ribs.
  • For operating conditions with large fluctuations in feed size—where both large chunks and fines are present—we recommend semi‑ribbed mantle liners for large gyratory crushers (ribbed in the upper half, smooth in the lower half). This design ensures secure bite on large pieces in the upper chamber to prevent slippage, while providing excellent wear resistance and extended service life in the lower chamber.

  III. Product Features and Advantages
  • Integral split-cone design: The upper and lower sections are mated together, conforming closely to the spindle mounting surface for superior sealing and preventing jamming or material leakage. The cone’s curvature is precisely matched to the equipment cavity, ensuring uniform assembly clearances that guarantee a stable crushing process and controllable discharge particle size.
  • Reinforced 3D ribs (reinforced type): Vertical reinforcing ribs are integrally cast on the outer wall, thickening the load-bearing cross-section to effectively disperse instantaneous impact loads, preventing cracks and chipping. Impact resistance is significantly improved compared to smooth-surfaced sleeves, making them suitable for high-load coarse crushing applications.
  • Simultaneous optimization of heat dissipation and wear resistance (enhanced version): Reinforcing ribs create airflow channels to rapidly dissipate frictional heat, reducing the risk of high‑temperature softening and accelerated wear; the working surface features a thicker wear‑resistant layer, significantly extending the replacement interval.
  • Anti-corrosion coating: The surface is uniformly coated with an anti-corrosion primer followed by a topcoat, effectively isolating it from moisture and mineral slurry corrosion, thereby delaying oxidative rusting.
  • Assists material flow and reduces machine downtime: Rib-like structures guide material flow, preventing adhesion and buildup, ensuring smooth feeding and discharging, and minimizing breakdowns.
  IV. Why Choose Us
  • Specializing in wear-resistant castings for harsh operating conditions: We focus on the R&D and manufacturing of wear-resistant castings for demanding environments such as mining and power generation. Take our reinforced gyratory crusher liners as an example: designed for coarse crushing under high-impact, high-compression conditions, they feature an integrated split-cone structure with vertical reinforcing ribs on the outer wall that effectively distribute impact loads. The high-manganese steel undergoes water toughening, achieving a surface hardness of HB500–600 while maintaining high toughness in the core. Additionally, the ribs create cooling air passages, reducing the risk of softening at elevated temperatures and significantly extending service life between replacements.
  • We let the data speak, not empty promises of perfection: Casting processes are complex, so we don’t claim “zero defects,” but we do commit to “zero excuses.” Each batch of reinforced bushings undergoes rigorous end-to-end inspection—including precise measurement of conical surface curvature, hardness testing, and magnetic particle inspection—to ensure a perfect fit with the equipment housing and uniform assembly clearances. Complete test reports accompany every batch, demonstrating our accountability through data and action.
  • Long-term partnerships—delivery is just the beginning: Our digital systems let you track production progress in real time, eliminating opaque operations; we respond immediately to quality concerns without delay; and every shipment includes a detailed test report for your quality records. We believe that a supplier’s attitude toward resolving issues truly reflects its value.
  V. Production and Quality Assurance
  • Premium Raw Materials: Carefully selected high-quality scrap steel and punched billets, free of rust and oil. This ensures that the lining material of the enhanced gyratory crusher is pure at the source, laying the foundation for work-hardening in high-manganese steel.
  • Ultimate Density: Ceramic sand combined with a large-diameter heating riser eliminates shrinkage porosity and cavities, while the liner’s internal structure remains densely compacted, enabling it to withstand high‑impact and high‑compression loads without cracking.
  • Precision melting: Melted in a Fuji electric furnace from Japan, with real-time compositional verification via spectrometer to precisely control carbon and manganese levels, ensuring work-hardening capability and impact toughness.
  • Flawless casting: 850°C package baking plus bottom-pouring process eliminates sand-hole defects; the bushing’s conical surface and working face are smooth with no casting imperfections.
  • Strengthened metallography: 30-second rapid quenching produces a uniform austenitic microstructure, achieving “hard outside, tough inside”—with the surface hardened to HB500–600 while the core retains high toughness; combined with a three-dimensional rib structure, it withstands impacts from large ore chunks without fracturing.
  • Powerful shot blasting: cleans sand from the surface while hardening it, enhancing the wear resistance of the liner’s working face.
  • Rigorous quality inspection: Magnetic particle testing ensures precise taper‑surface curvature and mating surfaces, achieving perfect alignment with the gyratory crusher chamber and uniform assembly clearances.
  • Transparent delivery: Scan a code to track progress in real time, with full visibility from material input to shipment.
